For this release I was planning on using material already arranged, using some of the music I performed on my recent live stream concerts. Instead, I found myself working on entirely new material! Some of these were written following the release of Volume 1. Like last time, for several days in a row (six days, in this case), each day I recorded new tracks in the morning, thought about the track during the day, and did a live mix late at night.

The collected results are presented here in this release. We again have varied moods here. Among them: a touch of dub, some longer-form, electronic explorations, a tune of a category I call a 'carousel', and some less easily classifiable material.

Interestingly, during the week I was working on this, I read that there was some new news in radio astronomy related to the phenomenon of Fast Radio Bursts. Prior to April 28, 2020, these events had been recorded only from sources outside of our galaxy. That day, telescopes across Earth detected a similar event coming from within our galaxy, presumably from a type of neutron star known as a Magnetar. So, Volume 2 gained a subtitle in honor of this.
